We survived leg one of the journey

Greetings from Gabon, Africa!

We have arrived! We’re 3 for 3 on having our flights delayed, but fortunately none of these delays affected our connections or arrivals. We landed here in Libreville, the capital city of Gabon about 6:15 p.m. The first thing we noticed was the wave of sticky humidity that just washes over you as soon as you step off the plane. We were fortunate again to get through customs without a problem, find the person who was picking us up, claim all of our luggage, and arrive at the missionary guesthouse where we were greeted with a delicious lasagna dinner and several others who also just arrived as part of a work team to Bongolo… fellow English-speakers! We are hoping to be able to fall asleep tonight despite the humidity. Tomorrow will be another long, hectic day of travel, starting with a 3-hour plane ride followed by a vomit-inducing (we’ve been told) 2-hour taxi ride. Your prayers are most needed and appreciated!
