Bienvenidos a Panama!!

Didn’t think we’d have internet here, but we do! …

We have made it safely to Boquete, Panama, where we will be staying for the next week with Dr. Alan Handt, et al.  Today was mostly a look around day and we went to all the properties that the mission has including the church, a housing area with several old containers built into housing, and a couple different homes that the missionaries live in.

Yesterday we arrived in Panama City:

We are staying in one of the houses of Alan’s daughter, Kelly and her family.  Kelly and her husband are in Holland right now and her kids are staying with the Handts.  They have an amazing view that you can expect more pics of later…

Among other things, Meghan worked with Dr. Mo Henein and Dr. Handt in the clinic.  We only have seen a couple patients so far.

Then, we all went with Alan to pick up some kids from school and take them home.  This is apparently part of Alan’s routine several times a day because they have two shifts of school for the different ages (younger kids in the AM, older kids in the PM).

When we came back, Jeff helped the guys fix a truck.  Apparently it had rolled four times, but they fixed it up good as new!  Although Jeff did come over asking for tape…

Off to bed to get ready for Day #3!

  1. Yay! Glad you made it there safely! I didn’t realize Jeff was so handy with the car parts. I’ll have to keep that in mind. 🙂 Hope the rest of your time there is fantastic. Love y’all!

  2. Glad that you made it safely! What a beautiful place. Bummer that the Skinners are not there. Will they return before you leave? God bless your time in amazing Panama.

  3. We might see them briefly on Monday in the city that is about an hour from here. We have been playing with their kids though 😉

Thought about changing the tagline, but didn’t think it would be noticed for only 5 days 🙂
