weddinging

This past weekend we attended the wedding of two of our new friends, Jen and Nick Farabaugh.  We travelled up to Crown Point, Indiana for the festivities.  It was a little different because the wedding was at 11 and the reception at noon.  We had a good time with our small group friends that made the trip.  Here are some pics from the wedding.

A look back at… Our Wedding Day

This is looking back to the day our flip was given to us (Thanks Steph, Brent, and JP!).  I think it served us well, even from the beginning.  The first video shows a little bit of the girls getting ready, then the bulk of it is all of our guests’ messages to us.  The second video is of us and our awesome friends dancing to Thriller at the reception! Believe it or not, this is only about a third of the actual Thriller footage.   Many many thanks to Jon Paul (who gets married himself in two days- woot!) who filmed for us.  Thank you to all who are in the videos and also to those who supported us but didn’t get to speak in front of the camera.

joel-and-sally

this past weekend we attended the last wedding we currently have on the books.  the groom was joel derrough, one of jeff’s roommates from college.  i knew joel was one of jeff’s good friends when jeff received a package from south korea (where joel was stationed in the army) containing a massive off-blue peyton manning jersey and tons of… interesting vitamin beverages (that i believe are still in our pantry).

it was great to see joel and his new wife sally so happy on their wedding day.  we also had the privilege of being a part of their bachelor and bachelorette parties.  i chummed it up with sally and her friends (none of which i had ever met, but i still had fun!) and jeff bached it with the boys at a detroit red wings game.  jeff also played piano at the wedding.  this had been dubbed ‘the enchanted wedding’ among our friends because jeff played 2 songs from enchanted, the movie.  good times.
